College League 2025
College League for 2025 begins on the 14th of May finishing on the 13th of August. Games will be held on Wednesday with breaks for the school holidays.
LEAGUE FORMAT & RULES (SENIOR BOYS & GIRLS) (Year 9-13)
- Registration will close on Monday the 5th of May.
- The winner of each division will be decided on total points after all games are played.
- Basic Regulations:
- 3 points will be awarded for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss.
- The games’ length will be: Girls (25 min each half + 5 min half time); Boys Senior (35 min each half + 5 min half time);

DRAW & FIXTURES
Southland Football will generate an automatic system draw after getting all the entries. Draw will show dates, venues and kick off times for each fixture. The draw will show matches being played on Wednesdays kicking off at 4pm. This can be changed by mutual agreement between the two teams concerned. However, should the teams not be able to come to agreement then Southland Football will determine the fixture. Schools must notify us of all fixture changes at least one week prior to the event.
REFEREES
The Home team is responsible for organising a referee for the match. We recommend coaches avoid this responsibility wherever possible so they can focus on their coaching role.
DEFAULT/CANCELLATIONS
At least 48 hours’ notice must be given to the opposing team as well as Southland Football if a team is not able to play. If this notice is not given the team will be in default and a 3 – 0 win recorded for the team being defaulted to.
Should a game be postponed, the school initiating the change must do it as early as possible so as not to inconvenience the opposition. Please inform:

ENTRY FEE
Each team will be charged an entry fee of $240 for the 2025 season. Please contact Southland Football if you require an alternative arrangement.
